What’s It Made From…

The Perfect Cloud Visco Gel Pro Memory Foam mattress is made of four separate layers of foam, including high density air infused memory foam, regular air infused memory foam, gel pro memory foam and high density support foam. These four layers combine to create a mattress that is a total of 12 inches thick.

The Top Layer

The first layer of the Visco Gel Pro Memory Foam mattress from Perfect Cloud is made of 1 inch of high density air infused memory foam. This is the layer of the mattress that conforms to your body, giving you a hug that is customized for your specific needs. The infusion of air improves the circulation of body heat, which minimizes heat retention and helps to keep the mattress a cool and consistent temperature. Because it is high density in nature, you will also experience deep compression support right in the first layer.

The Second Layer

Next is a layer of 1.5 inches of regular air infused memory foam. This material further enhances the breathability of the mattress and prevents air from being trapped inside. It also continues to cradle the body and responds to the pressure that is placed on it, offering more support where it is needed the most and less support where it isn’t needed.

Our goal in creating this buyer’s guide is to help you determine if it will meet your needs. In order to do that, we have fully assessed the key components that impact the overall quality of the mattress. The components we analyzed include:

Firmness

On a firmness scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the softest and 10 being the hardest, we rate the Visco Gel Pro Memory Foam mattress from Perfect Cloud a 5.5. This means that it is a medium firmness mattress, so it isn’t too soft, yet it isn’t too soft. In other words, it is designed to meet the needs of the average sleeper.

Comfort

The responsiveness of the foam layers really makes this mattress comfortable for sleepers between 40 and 400 pounds. We found that the foam contours to the body just right and that it certainly reduces pressure points, which makes it truly comfortable. It also reduces the need to toss and turn throughout the night so you can get a more restful night of sleep.

In terms of motion transfer, we were very pleased. The foam layers absorb the energy that is created by motion, so you won’t be disturbed by your sleeping partner’s movement.

Off Gassing

Off gassing is another issue that is often associated with foam mattress. Some of the chemicals that are used in the production of the foam have an odor, and that odor can be emitted from the mattress when it is new.

The Visco Gel Pro Memory Foam mattress from Perfect Cloud is CertiPUR US Certified, which means that it isn’t made with those harsh chemicals that are known to create an odor. We didn’t experience any noticeable odor coming from the mattress when we unpackaged it. If you do, just place it in a well ventilated room and the odor should quickly dissipate.

Intimacy

Since foam mattresses absorb the energy that is created from movement, they often offer minimal bounce back. As such, intimate activities can be compromised, as more energy needs to be exerted in order to partake in them.

Though this mattress does minimize motion transfer, we were pleased with the level of bounce back that it offered. Though you may have to exert a little bit more energy than you would have to on an innerspring mattress, we don’t think you will have to put too much extra effort into activities that are amorous in nature.

Bed Frame Compatibility

Perfect Cloud designed their 12 Inch Visco Gel Pro Memory Foam mattress to be compatible with all bed frames. This means that you can use it on a slatted bed frame, a box spring, a platform bed or even the floor. In order to enjoy optimal results, however, we do recommend using the mattress on either a solid platform bed or on a bed that has durable slats that are spaced no more than 3 inches apart.

Warranty, Guarantee and Trial Period

• Warranty: 25 year limited manufacturer warranty. If you experience any issues with this mattress that are the result of a defect in manufacturing within 25 years from the date of purchase, you can contact the manufacturer and they will repair or replace it for you.
• Guarantee: While Perfect Cloud doesn’t offer a guarantee, Amazon, the distributor it is sold through, does. They will fully refund your money if you are not satisfied with the mattress.
• Trial Period: Again, Perfect Cloud doesn’t offer a trial period; however, Amazon does. If you are not satisfied with the mattress for any reason within that 30 day period, contact Amazon and they will pick up your mattress and refund your money.
