The Cool Gel Memory Foam mattress from Classic Brands offers a three tiered system of support foam layers; two layers of high density gel support foam and a layer of high density support foam. Together, all three layers make a mattress that is a total of 12 inches thick, and the materials work to cradle the body, reduce pressure point buildup and keep the surface of the mattress cool.
The Top Layer
The first layer of this mattress is comprised of 3 inches of ventilated gel foam. This layer creates a cushy feel that conforms to the body and adds a nice layer of comfort. Moreover, because this foal is ventilated and infused with cooling gel, it not only pulls heat away from the body, but it also disperses that heat through the mattress, pulling it away from the surface and preventing the surface from heating up.
The Second Layer and Third Layers
What really makes this mattress from Classic Brands so unique is that it contains two separate layers that are made of the same material: Airflow Gel Support Foam. Both of these layers are a total of 1.5 inches. These two layers acts as the middle support layers of the bed. The gel infusion of these two layers pulls body heat away from the sleeper. We did not experience any odor when we first received this mattress, and we were able to use it as soon as it was fully set up.
Intimacy
Foam is made to absorb energy, which helps to eliminate motion transfer, and that’s a good thing; however, in regard to the bounce that makes intimate activities easier and more enjoyable, this can be a detriment. With this Classic Brands mattress, there was a reduced level of bounce, which means that when it comes to intimacy, you will have to put in a little more effort.
